In the recent past, productivity mitigated the effect of the printing press. Once productivity fell the effects of inflation is felt. Government in control of currency is a dangerous thing. It was not always so. Great exposition.

You're absolutely right about crypto being a tool to absorb fiat inflation. It's such a shame since so many people who were worried about inflation saw crypto as a way out. One sort of exception might be cryptocurrencies that are linked to some actual useful service like LBRY token, maybe.
